Due to aviation regulations, the relocation of the helipad for the Pediatric Surgery Department of LKH Graz was necessary. Lorenz Consult played a crucial role in the general planning of the helipad relocation. The new helipad is now located on the roof of the building and has been officially certified as a civilian airfield.
The landing area measures 25 meters wide and 27.5 meters long. Supported by a steel structure, it extends beyond the edges of the building on three sides and is capable of accommodating six tons. The project phase began in 2018 and its implementation brings a significant improvement to the emergency care of young patients.
